This week, we speak to Bethanie Durham from NORTH, who shares her biggest lesson she's learnt form years of managing client relationships

Bethanie Durham, Associate Director at NORTH

As specialists in digital PR and content performance, Newcastle based NORTH know a thing or 2 about getting the best out of their client relationships. This week, we spoke to Associate Director Bethanie Durham...

Bethanie Durham
Q: What’s the biggest lesson you’ve learnt from working with a brand/client, and why?

"My biggest lesson would be about having the ability to get rid of problem clients if you need to. While it might feel wrong to intentionally reduce your income, problematic clients can have a significant impact on your business.

Dealing with difficult clients can negatively affect the morale and motivation of the team and often requires extra time and resources that could be used elsewhere.

This can impact overall effectiveness and quality of work the agency delivers. This could have serious consequences in the long run so it’s important to establish clear client expectations from the outset."

There you have it, sometimes knowing what clients to keep is juts as important as what clients to attract. We'll be back next time with even more insights and top tips...
