Brand confessions...how working with a marketing agency helps shoe brand Laura See London focus on design

Laura See London is a new shoe brand making unique, high quality footwear for ‘fun loving, positive women’. 

Designed by Laura in the UK and handmade in Italy, each pair of shoes features some of Laura’s original artwork which is then printed onto the leather and features a gold hummingbird - the brand’s motif - on the sole.

Stepping into sustainability

Laura See London is a new shoe brand with a difference.

Sustainability is key to the brand, says Laura: “Investing in top quality craftsmanship and durable materials so that the shoes will last is one of the best ways to support sustainable fashion. We like to keep our collections small in order to minimise waste.”

The shoes are made only from using leather from the food chain, offcuts or materials from previous seasons which saves the material heading to landfill. Exotic skins, real fur or real feathers are never used, only imitations using eco-friendly materials.

The brand has a zero plastics policy and all of its packaging is reusable including the shoe boxes, acid free tissue paper and stickers. Every order made for tissue paper and stickers supports the NOISSUE tree planting programme, which helps to offset their carbon footprint.

Laura See London’s shoes have made their way to glitzy award do’s too. Lesley Paterson, who wrote the award-winning screenplay for All Quiet on the Western Front chose to wear a gold pair of Esmeralda 105 to the BAFTAs and the Glittering 95, one of Laura’s latest designs, to the Oscars earlier this year.

Working with the right Agency...

Lisa May, the founder of the agency and her team, has become instrumental in helping Laura plan content and deliver marketing campaigns to elevate the brand and attract a growing following of incredible and inspirational women. 

Laura says working with Lisa has been a “dream come true”, acting as a sounding board as well as taking on a lot of the never ending “to do” list, as she is brilliant at telling a brand’s story whether it’s via social media, newsletters or photographs.
