The Challenge:
With the Town’s Vision as ‘A classic seaside town that is more contemporary and dynamic, merging the old and the new; diverse in its offer, embracing creative industries, digital technology and youthful endeavour, in a high quality leisure, retail, historic and public space offer for those who live in, work in and visit the town’
We were challenged to come up with a rebrand was needed to breathe life back into this struggling visitor destination.
Our Approach:
Following our rebranding project in 2016, with extensive research, including input from existing and potential visitors which resulted in the new strategy of ‘Southport – Different Every Time’ brand.
The brand was adopted by all stakeholders and partners including, attractions, accommodation transport providers. We then rolled out the brand through all marketing collateral, including the website, print and OOH, Social Media and Signage, new photography and content was also produced by ourselves so that the brand was consistent throughout all channels.
The Results:
Three years on the brand is going from strength-to-strength, with our continual work on the Visit Southport Seasonal Campaigns, with exceptionally strong summers in 2017 and 2018, and footfall increasing year-on-year. Our brief for 2019 and 2020 was to carry on this success, increasing reach, engagement and visitors, yet again.
Fulfilling all strategic and creative projects whilst reflecting the positioning of the brand through tone of voice, audience and media.
