Building a future-proof website for the UK's favourite mobility retailer

CareCo is the UK's leading mobility retailer, providing a range of ingenious products from everyday living aids to cutting-edge scooters.


In 2018, CareCo had 10 stores in England and Wales. Fast forward to 2023, and they now have 27 across Britain.


What happened? HUB happened.


It was because of this success that CareCo needed a new website. One that could cope with growing demand. And offer industry-leading functionality.


They knew how the website needed to look, they just didn’t know how to build it.

Luckily, we did.

CareCo needed to migrate from their existing EPOS (electronic point of sale) website and front-end system to a new platform. Their new ERP (enterprise resource planning) business management system had a front-end web module, but its range of functionality was less than impressive.

This was no problem for our certified Adobe Commerce Cloud experts. We proposed an Adobe Commerce solution that would integrate with the new ERP system and an elaborate suite of architecture covering data, personalisation, reporting and analytics.


But that’s not all. We would also be developing an integration with the EPOS system OrderWise via an API.

In total, our team established 13 complex integrations including:

  • Stock finder
  • Postcode look up
  • Coupon code functionality
  • Store locators using Google API
  • Fastly CDN
  • Fiserv Payment Gateway
  • Notify when back in stock email functionality

This was a mammoth project with multiple stakeholders: CareCo, CareCo’s design team, OrderWise’s design team and our internal teams. An Agile approach was the only solution for a job this meaty.


Front-end functionality was a key deliverable for our client, so we rebuilt and restructured core pages that had been migrated from their existing website: Home, Category, Category Listing and Product Detail.

18 months later, CareCo had a website that offered exceptional UX and had capacity to expand with their brand.


Most importantly, HUB equipped CareCo with the ultimate tool to collect data, devise killer marketing strategies and accelerate their brand into exciting new territory.
